The Art Museum

Piedmont Park

The park is located near Midtown in Northeastern Atlanta. Originally, the park was a gentleman’s estate maintained by Dr. Benjamin Walker. Then it passed into the ownership of many people and was finally owned by an Exposition Firm.

In different parts of the park, one comes across many architects with remarkable works. The most famous is the Olmstead of Central Park, which is used even presently.

The court also has a big basketball arena. At the beginning of the twentieth century, it was also home to Atlanta’s first basketball team.

When you visit this place, you will also come across other noticeable places like a playscape and a large lawn.

The Famous Botanical Garden

The garden is next to Piedmont Park. It consists of several divisions, each depicting a separate plant, animal species, and region. Some of the main attractions are a children’s garden, a rose garden, woodland areas, and a Japanese garden.

The indoor area of Fuqua Conservatory is one of the biggest attractions. It houses a variety of animals and plants from the desert, subtropical and subtropical areas. You will also see the largest collection of orchids, turtles, tropical birds, and poison dart frogs in the garden.

The treetops on the great canopy walk in the forest park are also worth exploring.

The Stone Mountain Park

The Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta is one of the largest tourist destinations in Atlanta, with over 350,000 people visiting it every year. It is the world’s largest standalone mountain carving. It is located in Stone Mountain, which is located in Doraville. It was built in the early 20th century after the city of Atlanta had been founded. The mountain stands 1,686 feet (approximately 514 meters) above sea level.

It offers a wide variety of attractions that are sure to keep the whole family entertained. This includes the Antebellum Plantation, which is the only plantation in the United States that features plantation life as it would have been during the antebellum era.
